What If
I wrote a poem to seek inner peace in a chaotic world.
We have suddenly entered a seemingly turbulent time in history, where a handful of men consumed by ego are running the show. Those who are privileged to experience democracy, liberty, and freedom have abruptly come to the realization that our rights are not guaranteed unless we unite and fight for these values and principles.
Our challenges sometimes create the illusion that we don’t have a say in determining our future, but we do. By taking a moment to reflect on our shared humanity, showing solidarity to stand with those in need, and speaking up for the voiceless, we can prevail and bring the freedoms we hold dearly to all living beings on this planet. Many have led the way, and this movement will be unstoppable.
I invite you to take a moment to step away from this increasingly chaotic world to find solace in a world full of possibilities and potential with me.
What If
What if we pause and listen to the wind that whispers the stories of our past?
What if we lower our guards, attend to those in need, and treat them like our own?
What if we step off the running wheel and see that we have plenty to share?
What if we cease trying to control our fear and choose peace and prosperity over conflict?
What if we stop and look into our hearts, beating powerfully to the earthly rhythm of love and empathy?
What if we take a moment to grasp that the Earth is the only planet brimming with life in this vast solar system and beyond?
What if we taper down harmful growth addiction and realize that nothing on this planet truly belongs to us, including the land we claim is rightfully ours?
What if we slow down and look at each other closely? Would we notice we are all the same deep down, and all we have is each other?
That world isn’t far away if you and I choose to envision it.
